Fun and Exercise with the Ripstik DLX
A different version of the razor ripstik is the ripstik DLX. As with all of the ripstiks it features the aluminum torsion bar, caster wheels and floating decks. There is a difference in ride that some report with the ripstik DLX though. They feature the same 360 degree caster wheels but they have 7 bearings instead of 5 which make the ride much smoother.
The Difference with the Ripstik Ripster DLX
There are a few differences in versions of the ripstik such as the ripstik ripster DLX. It has the same features as the other great ripstiks except it is almost 7 inches smaller measuring 27.5 inches and has smaller wheels at 66mm. The ripstik mini DLX is also a smaller version of the original razor ripstik DLX with virtually the same features as the ripstik ripster DLX. Customers claim the ripstik ripster is a differ riding experience altogether because it takes a different set of muscles to operate them.
Razor Ripstik DLX Turning Abilities
Many customers report that the turning radius of the smaller ripster is the greatest feature it carries. It has a tighter turning radius which makes it easier to maneuver in tight spots. The smaller size of the ripstik DLX measures all of 27” and only 4 lbs. This makes it great for children 8 and over because it is easy to carry and is a thinner board.
Customer Reviews of the Ripstik DLX
Customers give rave reviews of the ripstik DLX as well as the razor DLX and the ripstik mini DLX saying that the tightness of the torsion bar makes it less likely to scrape the bottom of the ripstik on turns and puts less strain on your ankles because it springs back on its own instead of relying on your ankle strength to straighten it up. It is small enough for younger board enthusiasts yet large enough for the oldest member of the family.
Replacement Parts for the Razor DLX
There really isn’t anything to replace on any of the razor DLX models or any other ripstik models except the ripstik DLX wheels. You can purchase your ripstick DLX wheels from an authorized ripstik dealer or if you have a pair of old inline skates, use the wheels from them to replace any of the wheels on you razor DLX. Because the decks are made of carbon fiber, they virtually last a lifetime and the torsion bar is made from aluminum so there is no worry about rusting out.
Recommendations for the Ripstik DLX
The ripstik DLX is recommended for anyone 8 years old or older. They will carry up to 220 lbs so even adults can enjoy and master the tricks and carvings of this board. These are considered professional boards so they are a little more expensive than a regular skateboard but they are well worth the money considering they are built heavy duty. These boards will make your kids want to be outside instead of sitting inside playing video games all day.
